How to Measure Your Cervix

Step 1

Wash your hands thoroughly.

Step 2

Insert your index finger into your vagina until you feel your cervix.

Your cervix usually feels:

  • Firm
  • Smooth
  • Slightly rounded
  • Similar to the tip of your nose

Step 3

Notice how far your finger goes inside before touching your cervix.

Step 4

Use a ruler or tape measure to measure the distance from the tip of your finger to where your cervix was reached.

This gives you an estimate of your cervix height.

Important Things to Remember

Cervix height is only one factor when choosing your menstrual cup. Your flow, body shape, comfort preference, and pelvic floor strength also matter.

Many people comfortably use more than one size depending on their cycle and personal preference.

Bohokiwi menstrual cups also include a stem, so remember to consider the full cup length when choosing your size.
